Podiatrists specialize in diagnosing and treating disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower leg. They have expertise in orthopedics, radiography, sports medicine, dermatology, and surgery. Some conditions that podiatrists treat are ankle injuries, bunions, calluses, neuromas, running injuries, and toe deformities. They are often the first health professionals to diagnose vascular problems that have previously gone unrecognized. Podiatrists also contribute significantly to the areas of diabetic foot care, arthritic foot care, and wound healing.

Dr. Hanlon - Delaware Podiatric Medicine

Dr. Jacob Hanlon is a native Delawarean. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware and the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City. His post-graduate training in Advanced Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery was accomplished at Lutheran Medical Center, a Level One Trauma Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he served as the Orthopedic Trauma Fellow.

Dr. Hanlon practices in our Dover and Middletown offices. He is on the active staff at Kent General Hospital, Milford Memorial Hospital, and Delaware Surgery Center.

Dr. Hanlon is Board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery

Delaware Podiatric Medicine - Dr. Griesser

Michael Griesser, D.P.M.
Board-certified Podiatrist

Dr. Michael Griesser was born and raised in the Philadelphia area. He is a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his podiatric medicine and surgery residency with a credential in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at Inspira Health Network in Vineland, New Jersey where he served as chief resident. This included extensive training in reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle as well as lower extremity wound care and treatment of the diabetic foot. As part of his residency, Dr. Griesser completed training at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics in Baltimore, Maryland with special emphasis placed on the treatment of pediatric lower extremity deformities.

Dr. Griesser is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Griesser is an attending physician at the Bayhealth Wound Care Centers. Dr. Griesser is on the active staff at Kent General Hospital and Milford Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Hopkins - Delaware Podiatric Medicine

Jamie G. Hopkins, D.P.M.,F.A.C.F.A.S.
Board-certified Podiatrist

Jamie Hopkins, D.P.M., was born in Queens, New York. He graduated from State University of New York Stony Brook with a B.S. in Biology. He then went on to graduate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, cum laude. Dr. Hopkins holds several academic Distinction awards. Upon completion of medical school, he completed a three year surgical residency at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, in Livingston, New Jersey.

Dr. Hopkins is Board- certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

He has relocated to Delaware and practices in our Dover and Milford offices. He is on the active staff at Kent General Hospital and Milford Memorial Hospital. Dr. Hopkins is also an attending staff physician at the Bayhealth Wound Care Centers.

Dr. Hopkins is Board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Mark Boissonneault - Delaware Podiatric Medicine

Mark Boissonneault D.P.M.
Board-qualified Podiatrist

Mark Boissonneault, D.P.M. was born and raised in Bowie, Maryland. He attended DeMatha Catholic High School and Washington College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology. While at these institutions, he was elected as captain of the varsity rowing team for multiple years.

He graduated from William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, Illinois. While at Scholl, he held executive board positions with numerous organizations. He served as chief resident at Christiana Care Health Services for podiatric surgical residency. While at Christiana Care, he helped further podiatric medicine through research. He has extensive training in foot and ankle surgery, wound care, and sports medicine. He is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is the President-Elect of the Delaware Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Boissonneault enjoys spending time with his family, paddle boarding, wakeboarding, and running.  He looks forward to meeting you and getting you “back on your feet”.
